Murs

I recently got Murs’ first album, “…End of the Beginning” and let me tell you…it’s fabulous. I’ve been listening to it pretty much nonstop over the last few weeks and it holds up very well to repeated listening. Murs is one of the most intereesting MCs I’ve ever heard, each song is 3 minutes of dense shit and I hear new lyrics every time a song comes on. Someone labled this guy as “gangster rap” but I really don’t see it. Anyone who raps about waiting in line with hundreds of white kids to buy Star Wars action figures can’t possible be “gangsta”. Plus, he’s got a shout-out to James Kim on his myspace page.



edit: I was wrong “…End of the Beginning…” isn’t his first album, I think it’s just his first big one.
