My iPods

Ordered roughly in order of purchase.

My first iPod was a 40GB 3rd generation iPod. It served me well for about 3 years until it just wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. I wanted to use it as a firewire drive (modern iPods don’t work with firewire), but never really found the need for it. 40GB is too small to use as a backup drive and the form factor was too big to make it easy to carry around.

The nano was given to me when I started my current job. I never found a use for it.

The shuffle is out of order, it came before the nano. That’s the reason I never found a use for the nano. The shuffle was plenty big for even long rides and the form factor was absolutely perfect for listening to music while exercising. The screen really does me no good when I’m moving too fast to look at the screen.

The classic was purchased to replace my original iPod. I sprang for the 160GB model. To this day it can hold nearly every bit of music I own. Great for cycling through tracks I’ve never gotten around to listening to during long work days.

OG iPhone was purchased in January of 2008 with the intent of passing it along to Stephanie when the 3G phone came out.

The 3G iPhone is the greatest little bit of electronics I’ve ever owned. It’s amazing how quickly you get used to NEVER BEING BORED. No matter where I am, I’ve got internet/games/whatever.
